Hello my gorgeous readers! I know that I said that the Alchemy Lacquers Moonshards were going to be released a couple at a time however recently due to school and work schedules the amazing Rebecca has decided to go ahead and release the rest of them NOW! That means you don’t have to wait and I can go ahead and show you the rest of the amazingness that I have!
Without further ado!
First up I have Io:
Io is a gorgeous squishy deep purple scattered holographic jelly polish and has a healthy dose of Ultrachrome flakies! I’m not the biggest purple girl but this color is so luscious that I am utterly smitten! I love the shift of the flakies in the jelly base and it is just a gorgeous polish!
First allow me to address, I’m not sure why it appears that the tips of my fingers aren’t fully polished – I assure you while I was looking at them in person I saw no issues with the polish, it wasn’t until I was cropping these pictures that I noticed it. I can only assume that the lighting or user error plays some factor. Strange unpolished looking tips aside the formula on this is standard for a jelly – a bit sheer in the first coat but building up quite nicely due to the deep color. Pictures show three coats plus topcoat
See this is the SAME nail (on the same day) as one of the ones that looks as if it’s unpolished. In this picture it looks clearly as it’s supposed to. Ah, well, hopefully ya’ll can overlook my obviously amateur photography skills.
Next up I have Phobos:
Phobos is like an amped up neutral! Love that so much about this one. It’s a light brownish jelly polish with ultrachrome flakies. I feel like that there is some kind of shimmer or something or it could also just be the play of light on the flakies in the polish but it seems to have a magenta glow about it.
I love how shifty this one is due to the flakies in the light jelly base. Formula was great, a nice spread on flakies and while it is a jelly polish it builds up to opacity without any problem. Pictures show three coats plus topcoat.
Yeah this picture really shows how awesome the polish is!
Next up is Titan!
Yes my nail shape changed in this picture – sorry about that I had swatched some of these earlier and some later so there may be a slight variance in nail shape. Enough about nail shapes! Titan is a teal jelly base with blue and green ultrachrome flakies (multi shifts in each color) and that sort of gives it this teal leaning emerald color with sparks of gold.
Again formula is great – flakies spread evenly without issue. Pictures show three coats plus topcoat!
So next up we have a topper, Pandora:
This one utterly freaked my camera out! This is a shimmery shifty topper with multichrome flakies. I honestly wasn’t sure how I would feel about it because it was a topper but Oh.My.HECK. When I put it over purple I thought I was going to pass right out from the sheer gorgeousness!
So much shimmery shiftiness! Perfect application which I would expect from a topper anyway. Doesn’t seem streaky and the effect is very smooth over the base color. Pictures show one coat over undies plus topcoat.
YES! Look at those flakies shimmering there. I paired this with a dark purple, Indigo Bananas – Halcyon.
Allow me to introduce you to Ganymede!
I LOVE this one so much. It’s a maroonish jelly color shifting base with maroon/gold/whoknowswhatcolors multichrome flakies. So the base is color shifting and the flakies are color shifting and well the whole thing is a shifty masterpiece!
I tried to catch some of the bronzy shift going on here. So much play of color with this one! Application was flawless and the flakies spread out nicely without manipulation. Pictures show three coats plus topcoat.
You can REALLY see the shiftiness here. So much love.
Last but certainly not least is Callisto!
Callisto is a creamy nude holographic polish with a plethora of multichrome flakies. Such a bland way of saying its SPECTACULAR! I love this one so much. I’ve really got a thing for nude and nude-based polishes right now for some reason and this one really ticks the boxes for me.
The formula on this one is crazy good. Even spread of flakies without manipulation, no dragging, and it built to opacity in two coats. Pictures show two coats plus topcoat!
Every time I look at this picture I want to run and put this one on again!
Polishes used on all manis: Barielle – Nail Rebuilding Protein; Alchemy Lacquers Moonshards; Digital Nails – Ain’t Nobody Got Time for That Topcoat.
Per usual you should definitely check out the links below to follow, drool over, and get your own Alchemy Lacquers. There are a few more Moonshards that were released after I received these. They are just as amazing and beautiful as these from what I’ve seen!
