Digital Nails Delight!

Nothing to Disclose

Have I told ya’ll just how much I love Digital Nails?  I may have mentioned before, but just in case I haven’t or for my new readers out there, Digital Nails was my first ever Indie Polish!  It is entirely Raphaelle’s fault that I am an Indie Polish addict…and it’s entirely Mishka’s (Accio Lacquer) fault that I found out about Digital Nails to start with!

As I type this I have one of these polishes on and I literally cannot stop staring…you’ll know why soon.  You’re going to get to see my first ever VIDEO today!  No cheating and skipping ahead though…I will KNOW!  Besides it’s not like ALL of the polishes I’m going to show you today aren’t AMAZING.  Yes there are a lot of caps going on but I’m just that excited!

First I will show you two new additions to Digital Nails’ Magical Gasses collection.  The collection itself is a series of color-shifty flakie-goodness topcoats.  They may be a little unassuming in the bottle but you get them over a solid color and OH.MY.HECK. they come to life.  I finally broke down and bought a solid black creme polish just so I could show off these polishes!

First up is Kracken Quacks!

Kracken Quacks

Kracken Quacks

Kracken Quacks is a delightful topper that shifts from emerald green to purple.  As mentioned it will do best layered over a darker color to really show off that shift!

Kracken Quacks - Matted

Kracken Quacks – Matted

Picture shows one coat of Kracken Quacks over black.   I’m not the biggest fan of matted polishes however these topcoats just beg to be matted.  Love love love!  There were no application issues at all and the shimmer really coats all the nail perfectly. ***No Krackens were harmed in the making of this polish***

Polishes Used:  Glisten & Glow – Stuck on Blu; Sally Hansen – Black Out; Digital Nails – Kracken Quacks; Glisten & Glow – HK Girl; Julep – Matte Top Coat

Next up we have Pixie Toots!

Pixie Toots

Pixie Toots

Pixie Toots is a blue to pink shifty microflakie topcoat.  It’s AH-MAZING.  I love everything about this polish.  It’s girly and fun and frankly I’m addicted to flakies right now.

Pixie Toots - Matted

Pixie Toots – Matted

You can really see the flakes here and the color shift.  Again like Kracken Quacks, Pixie Toots will come alive over a dark color.  This is one coat over black. ***No Pixies were harmed in the making of this polish***

Polishes Used:  Glisten & Glow – Stuck on Blu; Sally Hansen – Black Out; Digital Nails – Pixie Toots; Glisten & Glow – HK Girl; Julep – Matte Top Coat

Last but CERTAINLY not least we have what must be the most awesome polish I have ever worn.  I’m beyond in love with this polish.

Supernova

Supernova

Supernova is a GINORMOUS amount of silver holographic glitter in a clear base.  Even though it’s in a clear base you can easily build this to opacity.  The rainbows that you will see are stunning.  While it looks amazing in most lights, trust me when I tell you to use caution while driving if you wear this on a sunny day.   It is nearly blinding with its holographic sparkle!

Supernova

Supernova

Because of the insane amount of holographic goodness going on it’s nearly linear in nature.  This picture shows two coats…TWO COATS with no undies!  As you can see you can’t see any nail line or anything like that because the sparkles cover up any minor sheerness!  Application was a breeze but I will say as you can see the little sparkles tried to collect around my cuticles and they were very tenacious and I finally gave up trying to get every single one.  After a shower though they went away!

Now because as you can see my camera basically FREAKED out over all the sparkle I did upload a video…enjoy and try not to drool on your keyboard!

Polishes Used:  Glisten & Glow – Stuck on Blu; Digital Nails – Supernova; Carpe Noctem – Glitterslayer; Glisten & Glow – HK Girl

Seriously if you like sparkly stuff you must get over to Digital Nails – she does glitter and sparkle SO well.  My wish list for her store is a mile long…trust me they are so worth getting!  You can follow Digital Nails on Facebook and Instagram.  You can buy Digital Nails polishes in her Etsy Store.  I cannot recommend this brand enough.

Polish Addict Nail Color

Provided for Honest Review

Hello my peeps!  That’s right I called you my peeps!  Someone mentioned Easter earlier today maybe that’s why I’m thinking about peeps…I digress.  I have some super cool polishes for you and let me tell you these are the kind of polishes I dig…full of glitter and sparkle and wonderfulness.  Plus how could I not want to get some polishes called Polish Addict?!  I *am* the head polish addict around these parts!

First up without further fanfare and without further ado.  Keep Calm I’m a Polish Addict!

photo 3 (13)

Keep Calm is a glitter topper of epic proportions.  There are so many kinds of glitter in different finishes and colors that I seriously think that it would look amazing over any color.  I showed it here over a variety of bases to give you an idea of the variety that can be achieved.  Some of the glitters I can pick out are big metallic and holographic dots, big matte dots, medium metallic and matte hexes, tiny hexes and microglitter in a plethora of colors!

photo 4 (13)

These pictures show one dabby coat over undies.  I didn’t have any problem coming up with a wealth of glitter at each dip.  I did turn the bottle over for a few minutes before hand as some of the heavier glitters (as per my past experience with larger glitters in other brands) tend to just naturally move to the bottom.  I lightly dabbed a coat on instead of using strokes so that I didn’t just pull all the glitter to the tip of the nail.  I had no problems with the formula on this at all!

Polishes used:  Glisten & Glow – Stuck on Blu; Too Fancy Lacquer – Holly; Sally Hansen – White On; Essie – Midnight Cami; Julep – Judi; Polish Addict Nail Color – Keep Calm I’m a Polish Addict; Carpe Noctem – Glitterslayer; Glisten & Glow – HK Girl Top Coat

Next up we have probably the girliest polish I own…and that’s saying something because I really am a girly girl!  I <3 Polish

photo 1 (14)

*Squee* it’s so pretty!  I <3 Polish is a delightful Barbie pink crelly/jelly polish with another heaping helping of glitter and shreds.  Mostly smaller glitters in this one in a ton of different colors.  My favorite though are the hot pink hearts!

photo 2 (15)

The formula on this is good.  The picture shows just two coats and is fully opaque even though I worried I might need three after the first one.  The glitter spread nicely on this one and I managed to get a heart on every nail without even really trying (some nails have two!).

Polishes used:  Glisten & Glow – Stuck on Blu; Polish Addict Nail Color – I <3 Polish; Carpe Noctem – Glitterslayer; Glisten & Glow – HK Girl Top Coat

My second favorite of the four is coming up next.  I really loved all of these polishes but the next two I was really drooling over!  Allow me to present Secret Galaxy:

photo 3 (12)

BOOM.  No my friends, that is NOT the night sky on my nails but I can TOTES see how you might think that!  I love love this polish so much!  Secret Galaxy is a charcoal gray jelly packed to the brim with blue and teal metallic and holographic hexes and microglitter along with a side of big holographic circles and moons!

photo 4 (12)

Know what else I loved about this polish?  The formula and application!  Really I expected to have to work at this one a little…funny shaped glitter, jelly base…yeah I expected it and I was so wrong!  This is three coats without any undies and it went on so well!  I did two thin coats and then a lightly dabbled coat mostly to make sure that everything was where I wanted it on the nail.

Polishes used:  Glisten & Glow – Stuck on Blu; Polish Addict Nail Color – Secret Galaxy; Carpe Noctem – Glitterslayer; Glisten & Glow – HK Girl Top Coat.

Last but certainly not least is my favorite.   Imagine Dragons!

photo 1 (13)

Now…look at it…isn’t it stunning??!!  Could it be the shimmery teal jelly base?  Could it be the gold metallic and holographic microglitter?  Could it be the giant light blue metallic dots?  Or is it the little round gold dots?  I don’t know but they all just work together so harmoniously!

photo 2 (14)

By this point (this was the last one I swatched) I was hooked and was expecting a really great formula and I was not disappointed!  Application on this was easy peasy lemon squeezy and the picture shows three coats without undies!

Polishes used:  Glisten & Glow – Stuck on Blu; Polish Addict Nail Color – Imagine Dragons; Carpe Noctem – Glitterslayer; Glisten & Glow – HK Girl Top Coat

All in all…I think I’m in love with Polish Addict Nail Colors!  I really want to try some of their white based crellies as well because well…I’m a sucker for a good white based crelly polish and I have no doubt that theirs will be magnificent!

Carpe Noctem Cosmetics

Giveaway Prize

Dearest readers!  I know that you thought I fell off of the planet, but alas, no I am here.  I’ve just been exceptionally busy and I feel terrible about neglecting a midweek post!  The first part of the semester is always hectic as I try to get into my routines and balance my work load.

Today I’m going to show you an amazing polish by Carpe Noctem Cosmetics!  I won it in a giveaway and I was beyond excited as I have had them on my list to try for a long time!  Without further ado I have for your viewing pleasure…Sapphire Abyss:

photo 1 (12)

Isn’t she lovely?  Did you totally just sing that phrase in your head?  Just me huh…ok moving on!  Sapphire Abyss is a lovely dusty purple shimmer polish with a PROMINENT blue flash.  Seriously I kept just shifting my fingers under the lamp because I was mesmerized!

photo 2 (13)

I mean it’s just so pretty!  I need more polishes like this in my collection as I tend to gravitate to glitters…but glitters need undies!  Nail art is something else I need good solids for and this one is a good solid.  The formula is good!  Nice even opacity in two coats without any dragging or balding.  The only thing is that I noticed that you can sort of see brushstrokes so I was very careful with my second coat.  Nothing that a little patience doesn’t take care of!    Overall I’m really delighted with this polish!

Polishes Used:  Glisten & Glow – Stuck on Blu; Carpe Noctem Cosmetics – Sapphire Abyss; Glisten & Glow – HK Girl Top Coat.

I promise not to take off again for so long without warning!  Do you want your OWN bottle of Sapphire Abyss?  I know where you can find it!  Carpe Noctem is available in her Etsy Shoppe.  If you want to keep up on all the news and happenings then definitely check out her Facebook Page!
