Wednesdays We Wear Pink! Featuring some Nail Stamping!

Nothing to Disclose

This will be a kind of quick post for today’s pink post!  I decided that I wanted to use an amazing polish that I had languishing in my collection for today’s post.  It’s a stunner really!

So let’s get on with it!  For today’s manicure I paired up Dior – Princess with some lime green stamping!

Dior - Princess (stamped with Sally Hansen - Just in Lime)

Now…as you can see by the bottle, this is a pink polish.  However it is a slightly coral leaning pink and when I layered the Sally Hansen – Just in Lime over it it was far more coral looking than pink!  Dior – Princess is a beautiful coral leaning princess pink polish packed with a silvery shimmer.

First I started with two thin coats of Dior – Princess.  There is a reason that these high-end polishes are high-end too.  Easily one of the best formulas I have ever worked with on a nail polish.  Plus the brush is really awesome, kind of squatty but wide and it’s very easy to work with!  I then used stamps from Cheeky and MoYou London to create the stamped design.  I got so many compliments on this mani as I was out and about running errands!

Products used:  Sally Hansen – Complete Care 4-in-1 Treatment; Dior – Princess; Sally Hansen – Just in Lime; Digital Nails – Ain’t Nobody Got Time for That; Cheeky Plate – CH44; MoYou London Plate – Pro 01.

You can find out information about the products at the following sites.  Dior polishes are available in department stores and various online retailers.  Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polishes are available at all kinds of drugstores, big box stores, and grocery stores across the country and are great for stamping!

Wednesdays We Wear Pink – Featuring Literary Lacquers

Provided for Honest Review

Darling readers!  It’s really turning out to be Literary Lacquers week here at Boom Shaka Lacquer.  There might be a reason for that…uhm because they are awesome!  So today’s Pink Post is going to feature the raspberry pink twin sister to Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster; Raspberry Cordial!

Raspberry Cordial is inspired by Anne of Green Gables when Anne (with an E if you please) and her friend Rachel Berry mistake some of Marilla’s homemade wine for Raspberry Cordial…hilarity and tragedy ensue from this debacle and there is no doubt that it’s one of the memorable scenes from the book!

So I said it was the sister to PGGB.  It is a dark raspberry pink linear jelly holographic polish filled with the same holographic sparks that PGGB has!  These two are definitely related (Also how smart is Amy, both of them are named after DRINKS).

The formula on this one is virtually the same as PGGB as well.  Starts off sheer but builds nicely.  The pictures show 2.5 coats plus topcoat!  I threw in a flash photo to show off the linear holographic feature since the sunlight wasn’t cooperating.

Polishes Used:  Glisten & Glow – Stuck on Blu; Literary Lacquers – Raspberry Cordial; Digital Nails – Ain’t Nobody Got Time for That Topcoat

So I couldn’t bear not to do a little nail art…so here we go!

Pink Polka Dots!

So for this nail art look (which I’m still wearing!) I started with a base of Literary Lacquers – Annabelle Lee.  Using my largest dotting tool I made large dots down the middle of my nails with Literary Lacquers – Raspberry Cordial.  Then I went in with a smaller dotting tools and added six more dots using Color Club – Halo-graphic.  I am totally digging on this mani…even my aunt said it was one of her favorites!  This is also very easy so even beginners can do these kinds of nail art looks!

As per usual I encourage you to go and gather your own little bottles of awesome!  You’ll find all the necessary links below to follow Literary Lacquers and start your own literature-inspired collection

Wednesdays We Wear Pink! Featuring Wingdust Collections

Nothing to Disclose

Ok so ya’ll know I love blue and teal and green.  But I also love PINK which is why I decided to start this series of pink posts!  I don’t know how long I’ll keep it up but I really kind of like them so we shall see!

Today I have a beautiful polish to show you.  Wingdust Collections Beach Bum!

Wingdust Collections - Beach Bum

Wingdust Collections – Beach Bum

Beach Bum is a luscious squishy hot pink jelly packed to the brim with all kinds of wonderful glitter!  I see tiny coral hexes, pink metallic dots, small silver holographic hexes, big silver holographic dots.  Basically a bunch of really awesome glitter!  The formula is really easy to work with and I had no trouble getting a decent glitter spread and good coverage in 2.5 coats.  Because of the length of my nails the free edge has a really prominent nail line and sometimes with jelly polishes it takes a little extra on the tips to combat that for photos.

I wore it with a stamped design that I did by using one of those dreaded french tip stamping plates.  Those things never “fit” my nail properly and I was staring at the one I have (you know you all have one too) and I thought “HEY, if I flip it it’ll be a HALF-MOON design” whaaaat.  That was pretty much how it went.  Anyway I used Sally Hansen – Silver Sweep to do the stamping and I was really pleased at how it turned out!

Polishes used:  Sally Hansen – 4-in-1 Complete Treatment; Wingdust Collections – Beach Bum; Sally Hansen – Silver Sweep; Digital Nails – Ain’t Nobody Got Time for That Topcoat.

You can get Wingdust from her Etsy Store.  Not to mention you can follow Wingdust on Facebook and Instagram to keep up to date on all the latest news.  Wingdust is also available at different stockists around the world so that anyone anywhere can get their own bottle of Wingdust.

Wednesdays We Wear Pink!

Some Products Were Provided for Honest Review

Hello my darling readers!  I’m back with a vengeance it seems!  I have my second “Wednesdays We Wear Pink” nail look for you this week!  I decided to use an untried and unloved Julep that was wilting away in my stash waiting for the perfect moment to be used.  I decided to pair it with a deliciously gorgeous lime green holo prototype that I received from Alchemy Lacquers.  So let’s GO:

So for this look I wanted something bright as bright could get and I think I achieved that!  So I started off by painting all my nails with Julep Monica which is a HOT Fuschia pink jelly polish filled with blue iridescent tinsel? shreds?  Not sure what it is it is unlike any other polish “bit” I’ve ever seen but they remind me of tinsel.  Then I got out the Alchemy Lacquers “Lab Sample” prototype which is a lime green holographic polish with a sneaky blue shimmer that went nicely with the blue tinsely stuff in Monica

On my forefingers I used some YouPolish nail vinyls to create a “lightning bolt” with the lime green.  I reviewed YouPolish nail vinyls right here!

I used a simple dotting tool to create the dots on my middle fingers.

On my ring fingers I did a “waterfall” design (Made popular by the AMAZING Nailasaurus – seriously ya’ll if you don’t follow her you SHOULD) using a striper brush.  I actually bought a brush set off Amazon and it wasn’t expensive but I did find I needed to cut off about half the bristles for it to be thin enough for the things I wanted to use it for.

On my pinkies I just did a simple stripe across the tip with the same striper.

That’s it – it was not hard at all and I have loved wearing this mani!
